Lambda-Cyhalothrin 2.5% EC is a pyrethroid insecticide intended for controlling mosquitoes, flies and other pests in outdoor areas. It acts through direct contact and ingestion by pests.

Composition and formulation

Active ingredient: Lambda-cyhalothrin — 25 g/L (2.5%).
Formulation: Emulsifiable concentrate (EC).
Toxicity: Moderately toxic.

Intended use

Used to control mosquitoes and flies in outdoor residential areas, green spaces, parking lots, docks, squares and other open areas. Its spectrum of activity also includes ants, cockroaches, crickets, earwigs, fleas, silverfish, millipedes, woodlice, spiders, scorpions, ticks, springtails and certain other pests. Some activity against pest mites is also reported.

Directions for use and dosage

Dilute the product in water and apply by spraying, following the instructions on the product label.

Important: The supplied instructions do not specify the water volume or dilution ratio. The stated rate does not mean 0.2–0.4 mL of product per litre of water. Before preparing the spray solution, confirm the exact dilution instructions on the product label or with the manufacturer.

Safety precautions

• Do not mix with alkaline substances.
• Wear protective clothing, gloves and the respiratory protection specified on the label.
• Avoid contact with skin and eyes and inhalation of spray mist.
• After application, wash hands and exposed skin with soap and water.
• Keep children and pregnant or breastfeeding individuals away from the product.
• Toxic to fish, bees and silkworms. Prevent the product or its residues from entering ponds, rivers and ditches. Avoid contaminating plants visited by bees, bird sanctuaries, silkworm-rearing facilities and mulberry plantations.

First aid

Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing and wash the skin thoroughly with plenty of water and soap.
Eye contact: Immediately rinse with clean running water for 15–20 minutes.
If swallowed: Seek medical attention immediately. Do not induce vomiting on your own. Show the product packaging or label to the doctor.

In case of a spill

Cover the spilled product with sand, soil or sawdust, collect it in a closed container and arrange appropriate disposal. Do not wash it into drains or bodies of water.

Storage conditions

Store in tightly closed original packaging in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place. Protect from direct sunlight, moisture, heat and sources of ignition.

Store separately from food, beverages and animal feed, in a locked place out of reach of children.
