Chemi Spray
Suspension for external veterinary use.

Target species: Cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, horses, dogs, cats and poultry.

Composition
The source states that 1 mL contains:

• Chlortetracycline hydrochloride — 2 g
• Gentian violet — 0.5 g

Excipients: Propellant q.s. and vehicle to 100 mL.

Note: The composition in the original text requires clarification: the quantities listed per 1 mL conflict with the stated final volume of 100 mL. The stray number “4” following gentian violet also appears to be a typographical error.

Presentation
200 mL aerosol in an aluminium container.

Administration and dosage
Before use, clean the affected area of dirt and remove dead tissue. Shake the aerosol container thoroughly.

Spray the affected area for 1–2 seconds from a distance of 10–20 cm. Prevent the animal from licking the preparation for 5 minutes after application.

The treatment duration depends on the severity of the wound and the rate of healing, but must not exceed 10 days.

Shake before use.

Adverse reactions
Allergic reactions affecting the skin and mucous membranes may occur in animals sensitive to chlortetracycline.

Interactions with other products
Zinc reduces the activity of gentian violet.

Overdose
As the preparation is intended for topical use, intoxication due to overdose is considered practically impossible. Prolonged treatment may cause dermopathy in hypersensitive animals, which resolves after treatment is discontinued.

Contraindications
Do not use in animals sensitive to chlortetracycline.

Special precautions
If adverse reactions occur, discontinue treatment, wash the treated areas and administer symptomatic therapy.

Use in well-ventilated premises. In the event of accidental contact with skin or mucous membranes, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water.

Do not spray near an open flame. Do not dismantle or puncture the empty container.

Withdrawal period
According to the supplied text, the preparation is practically not absorbed into the bloodstream, so there are no restrictions on slaughter for meat or the use of milk for human consumption.

In the event of emergency slaughter, tissue from the area treated with Chemi Spray must be discarded.

Storage conditions
Store in a dry place, protected from light, at 15–25°C. Protect from direct sunlight and prevent the container from reaching 45°C.
