
Neomox Bolus – intrauterine veterinary preparation
Target species:
Cattle (beef and dairy), small ruminants (sheep, goats), pigs, horses.
Composition:
Each 4 g bolus contains active substances:
Neomycin sulfate – 500 mg
Oxytetracycline hydrochloride – 500 mg
Form and packaging: 30 boluses.
Indications:
Used in cattle, sheep, goats, horses, and pigs for the prevention and treatment of postpartum infections of the reproductive tract caused by microorganisms sensitive to oxytetracycline and neomycin.
Indicated in complicated and pathological parturition, abortions, manual removal of retained placenta, acute postpartum endometritis.
Dosage and administration:
Before administration, thorough sanitation of the external genital organs is required. The preparation is applied intrauterinely 2–4 hours after calving/foaling/farrowing/parturition.
Prophylaxis:
Cattle, horses: 1 bolus intrauterine once or twice with 48 h interval.
Sheep, goats, sows: ½ bolus intrauterine once or twice with 48 h interval.
Treatment:
Cows, horses: 1–3 boluses intrauterine every 48 h until recovery.
Sheep, goats, sows: 1–2 boluses intrauterine every 48 h until recovery.
In severe cases: administration once every 24 h.
The procedure may be repeated 3 times, maximum 5 times if necessary.
Storage conditions: Store in a dry, dark place, out of the reach of children, at 10–25 °C. Do not store with food, drinks, or animal feed.
Shelf life: 2 years from production date.
